To a world of words, stories

and bright ideas.

What can I do for you?

Web Copy, such as blog posts, about pages, product descriptions, they're all about telling a story. That story won't guarantee your products and/or service sell, but - alongside excellent images - they will help customers to make the best decision about what they need/are looking for.

As a copywriter, I will bring your content to life adding personality and throwing out the need for jargon that customers don't understand.

I have a lifelong relationship with the written word, having started telling stories before I was old enough to write them down, and supported by a BA (Hons) in Creative Writing, as well as 11+ years experience as a professional writer.

Finding your place on the internet is a torturous job of trial and error, especially with so much competition for those all important top spots in Search Engine Results Pages.

I fell into SEO by accident, during my first period as a freelance writer when clients would ask me to "keyword stuff" for SEO purposes. Thankfully, the days of black hat SEO like that are long behind us as Google has become much more sophisticated. I gained an extensive knowledge of best practices for SEO through my five years working at Howarth Timber and Building Supplies as an Online Writer and SEO Specialist, where I worked alongside BrightEdge to hone my skills and expertise.

Grammar Nazi. Nitpicking. I've been called them all, but spelling mistakes rank high for people when deciding whether or not they trust a business. If you haven't checked your copy for errors, how are customers to believe that you'll provide them with a good service?

Spotting spelling mistakes in the work of others is something that comes naturally to me, and always have done. It's something that I appear to inherited from my Mum, much to the annoyance of other people.

Knowing where to start is often the hardest part of any project, but whether you're launching a new website or revamping an existing blog, having a solid strategy to work from is key to ongoing success.

I'll start by auditing what you already have across all platforms (website, social media etc) and analysing if anything can be repurposed.

Then I'll put together a strategy, whether that's creating fresh content for your website or a calendar for your blog posts.
